Who are Alcohol Drug Partnership Perth and Kinross?
Supporting opportunities for recovery
The Perth and Kinross Alcohol and Drug Partnership (ADP) aims to reduce the harms associated with alcohol and drugs and support opportunities for recovery, for individuals, families and communities throughout Perth and Kinross. Whether you're a young person, an adult, a caregiver, or a parent, we're here to guide you toward the support you need on your path to recovery. Our goal is to ensure that anyone in Perth and Kinross who needs extra support in dealing with alcohol and drug issues will receive the support they need.
Membership of the partnership includes Perth and Kinross Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP), NHS Tayside, Perth and Kinross Council, Police Scotland, Scottish Prison Service (SPS), Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS), third sector organisations, living and lived experience representatives and carers' representatives.
The work of the ADP is guided and shaped by both national and local strategies and plans. Our focus is on addressing alcohol and drug-related challenges faced by individuals, families, and communities across Perth and Kinross. This involves coordinating efforts among statutory and third-sector agencies, creating localised strategies, and minimizing adverse effects on families and communities.
Our Strategy
Our Strategic Delivery Plan highlights the work that the ADP is currently taking forward.
In developing our plan, we worked with our alcohol and drug services, living/lived experience and carers groups and other key partner organisations across Perth and Kinross and Tayside. Together, we have developed a set of local priorities and actions that form the basis of our work during 2024 to 2027. This means we are focussing on early intervention and prevention, reducing the harms associated with alcohol and drugs, developing our Recovery Oriented System of Care (ROSC) and children, young people, families and communities.
Our plan is ambitious, but we are committed to working together to achieve our vision to help people in Perth and Kinross live their best lives, free from the harms of alcohol and drugs.
