The Harm Reduction Service and BBV (blood borne viruses) clinic is an open access, confidential service providing advice and support to individuals who use drugs.
This service operates in partnership with Hillcrest Futures and NHS Tayside to offer on-site access to specialist harm reduction staff, including Hepatitis C specialist nurses on a drop-in and appointment basis at our fixed site within Drumhar Health Centre in Perth, as well as providing support at various outreach locations.
Support and advice is given to individuals for;
Overdose advice and Naloxone training and supply.
Injecting equipment provision (IEP).
Alternatives to injecting and safer injecting practices.
Disposal or returned equipment.
BBV testing and treatment.
Foodbank referrals.
Health review bloods, liver scans, wound care.
Pregnancy testing.
Sexual Health information and STI testing.
Signposting and referral to other services.
This service can be accessed on a drop-in basis during the following hours;
Monday-Friday: 9am-5pm (please note, the service closes for lunch from 12.30pm-1pm)
Nurses are available 9am to 5pm every Tuesday.
